You’re Invited…

Please join the party! Get your summer started by celebrating the Grand Opening of the new Scribbles Institute studio. Meet Rob, take a tour, and see student work on display. Refreshments will be served.

Our studio will be open from 5:00-9:00 p.m. on Friday, June 3. First Friday is a special Santa Cruz event celebrated by downtown merchants and art galleries by staying open late on the first Friday of each month. It’s a fun evening stroll, taking in the culture and entertainment of Santa Cruz.

We’re located at 303 Potrero #59 (Old Sash Mill)  831.421.0774 or email us. (Be great to know if you can make it.)

Information about the First Friday Art Tour: Click here

The Scribbles Institute drawing studio is located in the historic Old Sash Mill complex near downtown Santa Cruz, California.  We’ve got a lot of table space, plenty of paper and drawing materials, easels, drawing horses to sit on (well, sketch-howdy!), superb lighting, and all sorts of wonderful things to draw.  Lenz Art Supply, one of the coolest art stores on the planet, is just a couple of blocks away. Good eateries abound nearby and we have a kitchen to store your snacks for those long sketch sessions. We even have an iPod docking station to play everyone’s favorite tunes. All that’s missing is you.

Hey, Gary! Working with students at your schools has been a great pleasure. Kudos to Ariselsy, Sketcher of the Year of the Monterey County schools, and to Enrique and Yazmin for Most Improved Sketchers of the Year at Rancho Cielo. Onward to new ideas for next year!!

It would be exciting to see your new studio but as the owner of a Ford Expedition I can barely afford to drive back and forth to work let alone leave Long Beach.
    Best of luck.
